Investment Philosophy

Delancey believes that equities are the essential ingredient for long-term investment success. Equities have the potential to keep investments growing ahead of inflation. To harness this potential, while managing volatility, we build diversified portfolios. Delancey uses a sub-advisor to implement a client’s investment strategy and execute securities transactions. We emphasize undervalued growth stocks and traditional value stocks when price versus value is compelling. We are confident this is the best formula for producing superior performance over time.

When choosing stocks, we believe that superior long-term results are achieved through investment in high quality companies with steadily growing earnings and dividends. Our approach to risk is moderate when selecting stocks with relatively low price/earnings ratios and reasonable current yields.

Although macroeconomic factors are considered in terms of portfolio sector weighting, stock selection is primarily determined by individual company fundamentals. Both quantitative and qualitative factors are utilized in the analysis. Price is a paramount consideration when building the portfolio.
